#DismantlePreservation: Let's Keep Talking

#DismantlePreservation: Let's Keep Talking presents "Elevating Unpopular Opinions" a panel discussion.

Dancing through the fire

Hear me roar

Whether you are just beginning your career or speaking as a seasoned professional, being heard when taking an unpopular opinion is no easy matter. Rising to the moment or advocating for endangered resources not yet mainstream means responding quickly to the crisis and making your voice heard. This panel session looks at how emerging professionals or those who take on unpopular opinions can work within and outside of existing constructs to promote change.

Speakers:

June Ahn, Rose Cannon, and Emma Turner-Trujillo; Co-Founders of Death to Museums

Jobie Hill; Preservation Architect and Founder of Saving Slave Houses

Bonnie McDonald; President & CEO of Landmarks Illinois

Zulmilena Then; Founder of Preserving East New York

Moderator: Liz Waytkus, Executive Director of Docomomo US
