Dana Crawford (1931- 2025) was an incredible advocate for communities. If you've spent time in Colorado, it is likely that you have had the privilege to engage with historic spaces she helped breathe new life into - Larimer Square, Union Station (Denver), downtown Trinidad, the Argo Gold Mine in Idaho Springs, and so much more. At the University of Colorado Denver's Dana Crawford Historic Preservation Program, we seek to further her impact through the work of our students and faculty. It was a privilege to listen to people's stories about Dana Crawford as I "inducted" them into the fan club; it was a joy to learn about the impact the Dana Crawford Preservation Program students are making and it is exciting to see them grow confidence as preservation professionals. These buttons will help all of us celebrate Dana Crawford’s legacy all year.
