Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to me@sarahmarsom.com if you have any additional questions regarding #DismantlePreservation and the Spring Learning Lab.

Who are the Decay Devils: We’re agents of change. It’s our goal to bring new life, unite communities, and restore beauty, safety, and activity in places we once looked past or cringed at. We hope to rescue neglected spaces and forgotten relics. We want to give back to the community by making abandoned structures useful again. We are advocating to transform down-and-out buildings into event venues and more. These functioning spaces will then create multiple revenue streams. Our goal is to use these finances to fund more restoration efforts. Learn More

“W.A.I.T. & W.A.I.N.T.: Ask yourself Why Am I Talking // Why Am I Not Talking? We all come with relative societal privileges and oppressions based in part on our experience with race, gender, class, ability, nationality, sexuality, health, citizenship-status, and more. Let’s be aware of how this affects what we say and how we act.”*

Assume best intentions from others

Learning Lab workshops are spaces where we hope you will speak truthfully and share your lived experiences, but the stories of others are not for you to share to those not in attendance. “Take the lessons, but not the details”*
